One Minute Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a type of meditation during which you focus on being intensely aware of what you’re sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment.

Practising mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other techniques to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress.

Below are some Meditation Cards I’ve created to help you practise.

  1. Set the timer on your iPhone or watch to one minute: ensure you are sitting comfortably and will not be disturbed for one minute.
  2. Click on one of the cards below s and focus on the image and message. Start the timer.
  3. Breathe in a long deep conscious breath through your nose and breathe out slowly through your mouth.
  4. Focus only on the image and message. Allow your thoughts to come and go without analysis or judgement. Be present.

When the timer alerts you that the minute has passed, pause and acknowledge how you are feeling.

Return to your day.

Over time these minutes will be more routine, and you will no longer need the timer.
